 Look what we did in Kindergarten this week:
 Math: collect data from a picture and record data on a graph, make a read graphs KSDAP1.0, KSDAP1.1
 Religion: demonstrated ways family members take care for one another, listened and responded to Bible stories
 Science: classify/group objects based on senses being used 4.a, 4.b, 4.d
 Handwriting: practiced writing the uppercase and lowercase Jj
 Language Arts: identified the letter-sound relationships for Jj, wrote, stamped and decorated our words of the week, used 2 finger spacing in our writing, identified which sentences had proper spacing, responded to writing prompts in our journals, listened and orally responded to literature Reading 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 1.6, 1.7, 1.8, 1.9, 1.12, 1.14,1.15, Reading Comprehension 2.2, 2.3, 2.4, 2.5, Writing 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, Written and Oral Language 1.1, 1.2, Listening 1.1, 1.2
 Learning Centers: We used our imaginations in dramatic play, played math games in the math center, manipulated letters to form our spelling words in the writing center, and created a present in the art center

 NEXT WEEK, WE WILL BE CELEBRATING OUR 100TH DAY OF SCHOOL AND CATTY’S BIRTHDAY! FOR SHARING ON WEDNESDAY: PLEASE HAVE YOUR CHILD CREATE A SCENE OR PICTURE USING 100 OF THE SAME ITEMS (FOR EXAMPLE, 100 GOLFISH MADE INTO A RAINBOW, 100 POM-POMS MADE INTO A CATERPILLAR ETC.). PLEASE PASTE YOUR PICTURE ON A POSTER BOARD. THESE WILL BE DISPLAYED IN THE HALLWAY OUTSIDE THE KINDERGARTEN CLASSROOM. HAVE FUN!

 Next week is letter Ff week. There will be NO letter Ff sharing due to our 100th day sharing.

 FRIDAY PICK-UP: If your child is a “homer” on Friday please pick up promptly at 12:50 pm in front of the main entrance. If your child is not picked up by 12:55 pm they will be sent to Kid’s Place. Thank you for your understanding.

VALENTINE’S DAY
o CLASSROOM VALENTINE’S: We will distribute classroom Valentine’s on Tuesday, February 14th. Please do not write recipient names on the Valentine’s (no to’s), and please do not make the valentine’s gender specific. This will help the passing out process. There are 32 children in our kindergarten class.
