Fundraisers

Fundraisers are a vital part of our school’s financial success each year. None of these fundraisers can be successful without the participation of our families and parishioners.

Fall Fundraiser - Chocolate and Gift Wrap

If it’s September, it’s Fall Fundraiser time at Our Lady of Mount Carmel School! This is a required participation fundraiser. Parents can choose to have their children sell chocolate and/or from a gift catalog or they can opt out of participating for a specified donation amount.

Annual Benefit Auction

This year’s auction, Back to the Prom will take place on Saturday, October 22 and is sure to be a fantastic evening of “Prom” memories for all. The event is chaired, once again, by Mrs. Adrienne Herro and Mrs. Kathleen Sochan.

Each year we host an annual benefit auction to raise vital funds that our operating budget relies upon. Parents are required to work at least 2 hours for this event as part of their volunteer commitment to the school.

Run completely by parent volunteers, the Fall Fundraiser, Auction and our Spring Festival, are our biggest fundraising events of the year.

Annual Spring Festival 2012

This years Festival will take place on May 4, 5, 6

Scrip

As part of your tuition agreement, parents can choose to participate in this program or opt out for a specified flat amount. When you choose to participate, you are committed to generate a net profit of $230.00 each school year to the school through your Scrip purchases.

We make it so easy to meet your commitment. We have our very own Gift Card Mall. Shop with scrip, sign up with eScrip and your children all directly benefit

Ink Cartridge and Cell Phone Recycling

Your used and empty ink jet, laser jet and other printer cartridges, as well as old cell phones, can be dropped off at the school. We recycle them through an organized program that earns an average of $400 or more each year for our school.

Unfortunately, not all cartridges can be remanufactured which means they cannot be refilled and resold. Please check the list for qualifying items.

Used inkjet and laser printer cartridges are commodity items. They are bought and sold based on demand from consumers. Certain cartridges and cell phones may fall in price or drop off the Qualifying List if demand decreases.

You will find Funding Factory recycling boxes clearly marked for ink jet, laser printer or cell phone recycling (3 boxes) in the hall way as you enter the school from the arcade. We ask that you place just the qualifying cartrideds and phones in these boxes, placing the packaging in the paper recycling box found adjacent. This will save our parent volunteers lots of time! Thank you.

Ink Cartridge and Cell Phone Recycling

We greatly appreciate you bringing these to us – but need your help. Unfortunately, not all cartridges can be remanufactured which means they cannot be refilled and resold. The school earns a rebate ONLY on the resellable items.

We have created a list of qualifying items of the cartridges that earn $3.00 or more. Please check this list for these qualifying items before bringing them to school.

As are most fundraising programs, it is a parent volunteer who administers this program and is not here everyday to handle them. It is a safety hazard to the children to stack the cartridges in the hallway. When you do bring the qualifying cartridges, please take the time to remove them from the packaging, place cartrdiges in appropriate shipping box – and place the paper packaging in the paper recycling container provided.

Thank you again for recycling
